not everyone wants to see him again

Even if your life seems to be ruined and you have lost everything, at some point fate will surely help you and make you happy, regardless of your age.

Dorothée lost her mother and her television career in one day, but she never gave up. In fact, today, she is 69 years old, and lives a happy and wise life with her husband.

Dorothée is undoubtedly one of the most symbolic personalities of the PAF. In fact, in addition to being an artist, he is also a great singer, who holds the record for Bercy shows: more than fifty sold-out shows.

And that’s not all. He is also a host that marks generations, presenting for many years the cult show “Club Dorothée” broadcast on TF1.

Professionally speaking, it must be said that the beautiful blonde is very successful. But if he reached the peak of his art, above all because he was well surrounded and could always count on the unconditional support of his family.

“I was well protected, well managed. Mom was very square, strict when necessary, but also very funny. When I started this job, she was always behind me saying ‘Be careful!’ And that’s good. Dad… He sings very well, he would have liked to participate in movies, albums (…) I started as a speaker when he died. By doing this work, somewhere, I realized the his dream.”,

she confessed in an interview, before discussing her close relationship with her seven-year-old brother:

“Gamine, I was a burden to him, but at the age of twenty, we became welded like the fingers of one hand.”

IDOLS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE

As a reminder, in the 80s and 90s Dorothée became widely known, thanks to the program “Club Dorothée”. At that time, the former host had little time for himself, as he entertained the audience for twenty to forty hours per week. Not to mention eight hours of live every Wednesday.

However, the television star never made his work a chore or a priesthood. For him, it’s just part of his life, even if it doesn’t allow him to start a family.

In fact, the translator of “Hou! The Liar” has no children. However, this is an option, as he confessed in 2015, in an interview at the Gala.

“It was career or family life. I favored the first. I couldn’t do both. And what didn’t happen, didn’t happen, I accepted it”,

he said, before adding:

“I only remember the good times, I try my best in any case (…)”

But even without children, the former host of TF1 will forever remain a TV mother for many children, but also an idol for millions of people.

EVERYTHING CHANGED IN ONE DAY

It was in 1997 that Dorothée, real name Frédérique Hoschedé, appeared for the last time on the small screen, as the host of the youth program “Club Dorothée”.

To his total surprise, the singer was fired from the first channel, after years of career. However, he wants to choose the date of his departure. A situation, which he remembers in the Gala columns.

“(…) When I started this job, you know, I always told myself that one day it will stop (…) But I prefer to choose the date myself. It was the axe, the sledgehammer. It was not officially announced to me, I know things from rumors in the corridor (…)”,

he confessed.

The saddest thing about this story is that when the television star’s career suddenly ended, tragedy struck at his door: the death of his sick mother.

It was the very night of the recording of his last show that he learned the sad news. However, he hid it for years. Until 2010, when he decided to speak out after his seven-year-old brother disappeared.

“I am still their brother, I am still their son. I always think about them! Non stop! (…) I still live with them in reality. I did not cut the cord”,

he said one day.
