USA charts: Interesting Elden Ring, PS5 returns in June – News

A remarkable fact immediately emerged in the information this June. Beyond the fact that no one has been able to unseat it, Elden Ring just doesn’t remain the best-selling game around. Based on its revenue, FromSoftware’s Action-RPG is now one of the 10 biggest-selling games in U.S. video game history of all time and platform, helping it stand out. An impossible but true statistic, which continues to make the Elden Ring an undeniable event this year 2022.

That shouldn’t stop us from discussing some new features of the month, starting with Mario Strikers: Battle League Football taking a podium spot, while Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is content under the table.

Without the major releases, we could observe some interesting comebacks, starting with Overwatch, which was 95th last month and that we haven’t seen on this table since October 2019. The Blizzard game has undoubtedly benefited from of the enthusiasm generated by the Overwatch 2 beta.

Another very nice comeback, that of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which was embedded in the top 10 while the action-RPG from Square Enix was 159th in the ranking last month. A shocking comeback sparked by the announcements surrounding the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7 but undoubtedly even more so with its release on Steam.

No need to look too far for the return of Monster Hunter Rise, which has benefited from the launch of the Sunbreak expansion and jumped from 30th to 13th place in the ranking. Ranked 56th last month, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles also got a second wind with its release on Switch. We have little hope of being able to say the same about Evil Dead: The Game, a real shooting star that only lasted a month in the top 20.

Despite the big month on PlayStation 5 (we’re talking about consoles a little further below) Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 are no longer in the top 20, unlike MLB’s The Show 22. Still in line with console stocks, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the other hand is back on the tip of his nose (28th last month). PlayStation Studios games also make up half of the platform’s top 10.

If the situation remains disappointing on the console front, the PS5 continues the colors to allow the manufacturer to end its fiscal quarter on a good note. Thanks to a significant improvement in stocks, the PS5 was the console that generated the biggest turnover in June but also since the start of the year. Without sales a much larger number of consoles than the Switch, which remains ahead in the number of units sold, either in June or throughout the year.

In summary:

Rank consoles by number since January 2022: 1) Transfer 2) Xbox Series 3) PS5
Ranking of consoles by value since January 2022: 1) PS5 2) Xbox Series 3) Switch
