Tony’s return, Kelly’s fatherhood, the love story between Guillaume and Laetitia … Florence Coste, the translator of the glittering Laetitia, tells us more about what awaits her character in the next few episode of ‘Here it all begins.
Allociné: It’s been over a year since you came to the series Here it all begins. What is your assessment of this adventure?
Florence Coste : I’m very happy with the way Laetitia’s character has developed. He and Kelly (Axelle Dodier) find a place in the institute to make their living. Laetitia finally finds love as one of her great quests [rires], he was promoted to an important position and he was associated with his brother. A lot has happened for him and it’s heading in the direction he wants. That’s great!
We were able to take advantage of the character’s comedy because he had this little sassy side and was more emotionally working on his past. It’s very rich in translation and it’s an interesting character defense. I am pleased with the direction given by its authors.
It certainly feels more peaceful. We have the impression that he is a character who has matured even in his relationship with Kelly…
Of course. His immaturity has calmed down a bit, the lies pud. The fact that she has found a place where she has built her life and is in a healthy relationship with someone who loves her plays a big role. But what’s nice is that he hides his side a bit whimsical. You never know what his reaction will be. It’s gratifying to see him improve, solve his problems and be with him on this path.
The Laetitia-Kelly relationship is even more touching. What is your view on this mother-daughter relationship?
The best thing for me at Here It All Begins is this relationship and this duet by Axelle Dodier. The conspiracy was immediate between us.
Laetitia and Kelly have always been in love and in cahoots. It’s also funny to see this inverted relationship where maturity comes from Kelly and not from Laetitia. Now things are changing. Sometimes Laetitia is with her daughter and vice versa. It’s a very rich relationship that allows for so many possibilities. There is always a lot of love and companionship.
A few days later, Laetitia saw the return of youthful love. If he seems happy at home, he’s not instead insensitive to Tony’s (Kevin Dias) beauty. How will this relationship develop in subsequent stages?
Above all, Tony’s arrival allows Laetitia to reconnect with her youth, at a time when she is completely worry-free and light-hearted. It was a very happy period in her life because most of all it happened with Kelly’s birth.
Tony returns and their conspiracy is born immediately. There was something that brought him back to this pretty crazy stage of his life. I really believe that for him, there is no ambiguity in this relationship. There is only one big similarity. He took a long time to find that relationship and that strength with Guillaume (Bruno Putzulu) that I don’t think she was yet ready to ask her marriage for that. But he wanted to take advantage of Tony as a friend. This fun and light part is something Guillaume didn’t bring to him. He needs this air of madness because it’s part of his personality.
Laetitia is really on the ethical line there. Tony never but he didn’t realize it [rires]. Guillaume, for once, can be very jealous of this relationship while Laetitia even has the impression that everything is more fair and clear. He didn’t understand Tony and Guillaume’s reaction. Management can be complicated for him and this makes Guillaume’s jealousy even more intense.
Precisely, we know that Guillaume is capable of the “worst” when he is jealous. We thought he would do even all the colors. What can we expect?
Perfect! It can really upset the balance of their couple. In Laetitia’s point of view, there was no reason because she was so clear on what she wanted. She tries to reassure him but at the same time she doesn’t want to sacrifice a friendship. He doesn’t think it’s fair that we really ask him that. Tony’s arrival will reveal Guillaume’s dark side.
Kelly is very protective of her mother, what is her role in this whole story?
Kelly will act as a buffer. Even if he finds it hard to accept this relationship at first, he will protect Guillaume until the moment he really crosses the limits. He would try to control things as much as he could. But whether he sided with Guillaume or Tony, all he wanted was to protect his mother.
Laetitia is a character known for her lies. Can we really believe him in his claim that Tony is not the father of his son?
I see a lot of people don’t believe it [rires]. I can tell you that Laetitia is convinced that Tony is not Kelly’s father. Does this mean his father or not? Well, I can’t say that. In any case, if he says that, he is sincere.
Kelly’s fatherhood will be discussed soon …
Perfect! With Axelle, we are very happy that this theme has arrived because it is still an important part of their story. For his character and his build, it’s super interesting! In addition, it was also a traumatic event in Laetitia’s life. Watching this character is very interesting for Kelly and Laetitia.
We saw you singing during the episode dedicated to Valentine’s Day. Did you enjoy this experience and would we be happy to hear from you again in the series?
I’m so glad I sang in the series. I’ve met people who care about music at Here it all starts and I think they do a great job. It was great to record “Le coup de soleil” with them.
I am totally ready to sing again. Besides, I started singing but the actress was the lead singer. It’s always a great joy when I’m asked to sing on my projects. Besides, it was a nice sequence.
After becoming a housekeeper, Laetitia became the principal’s assistant. When the master arrives, will its role in the institute change again?
I don’t know but I like it. It’s kind of success stories. He struggled but thanks to his sense of contact and his tricks, he was able to rise in rank, to get more space in the institute. Anyway, I really like this idea.
We love intrigues with Laetitia and Salomé’s parents. Will Sylvie and François return to institute soon?
We love to laugh together. I find that the more family relationships are developed the better it is for us. And it’s true that this relationship is a wonderful relationship.
We have a feeling that things are not perfectly settled between them…
I think something happened to his dad. I’m not sure he wants to keep her. With his mother, the rapprochement began and the bond was re-created. Examining this relationship with true forgiveness can be beautiful.
Speaking of Salomé (Aurélie Pons), we rarely see your attitude towards her sister at the moment. We thought that with Tony’s intrigue and Kelly’s fatherhood, they would be brought in to be together again…
I love when Laetitia and Salomé support each other in the trials they go through. As Laetitia goes through some storms, Salomé comes to support her.
Do you have any other projects besides the series that you would like to tell us about?
I am in the theater now. I played “Titanic – the crazy crossing”, a game that repeats the history of the Titanic and is presented by the company Les Moutons Noirs. It’s a comedy version of the Titanic with a lot of fantasy, invention but with a sunken ship even in the end. I’ll play it in Avignon in July at the Théâtre du Roi René and then I’ll be back to play it in August in Paris.
I also played “Well above silence”, a show that is about confident poets and especially agrees with all the current events. It was at the La Luna theater at the Avignon festival.
It was so important to me that I could stay on stage. It’s true that with the very busy schedule at Here it all starts, it’s not always easy but I managed. And I’m so excited to be able to lead both.
