What Kevin Feige Concerns About Taika Watiti Ending Love & Thunder

Kevin Feige expressed his concerns about Taika Watiti being able to complete the production of Thor: Love and Thunder. Feige, who serves as the creative figurehead at Marvel Studios who oversees every project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has become a force to be reckoned with in the expanding world of franchise entertainment. Watiti, who led the next fourth Thor released by MCU, from the background of indie comedy projects in New Zealand, including Eagle V Shark, Wilderpeople Huntand the new Hollywood hit comedy JoJo Rabbit.

Watiti Joins MCU While Directing Thor’s Previous Solo Film Thor: Ragnarok in 2017. The superhero film reinvents the stagnant solo series and injects favorite colorful madness and a new comedic sensibility. Ragnarok a hit with fans and Watiti was later tapped to direct the sequel to the 2022 blockbuster love and thunder. The new film sees main characters Thor, Valkyrie and Korg return, this time bringing back Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster as she transforms into hero Mighty Thor from the new arc of Marvel Comics. Thor 4 also seen the heroes fight the evil Gorr the Butcher God, played by Christian Bale.

Now talk to NY Times, Feige opened up about his concerns about the adorable writer directing the new film. The head of the studio is referring to Watiti’s extremely busy schedule after several new projects. Feige remembers “In Ragnarok, it’s ‘I just finished this little thing’ ”referring to Watiti’s ongoing work on Wilderpeople Hunt. During the pre-production of the new film, the director also reportedly went “do that other thing in Manhattan Beachwhich became Disney’s Star Wars series The Mandalorian. Feige’s concerns about Watiti’s presence are justified. The creative filmmaker has become a hot prospect covering many major projects over the past few years. Watiti is set to direct a film that is much talked about star wars universe, with very little knowledge of how and when the film will end. Meanwhile, Watiti has created a number of popular TV shows, including his comedy spin-off What do we do in the shadow and his latest fan-favorite hit Our flag signifies death. Despite this, the director still found time to finish the work Thor 4, which promises to be one of the most anticipated films of the summer.

Watiti’s wacky wit and absurdism make him one of the most renowned designers currently working. Fans don’t have to share Feige’s concerns, because despite the long wait for promotional materials to appear for the new Thor film, just a few days from its release. Watiti overcame his extremely busy schedule to bring us another fun comic book adventure. Whether the director will return for more Marvel movies remains to be seen, but either way, his latest work is on the screens. Thor: Love and Thunder to hit theaters on July 8.
