June 24, 2022

Classes

  • Druid
    • Guardian
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Mutilation and auto accident damage increased by 10%.
        • Developers’ note: Vengeance Demon Hunters and Guardian Druids are late in terms of damage, especially if a target. Our goal with these changes is to improve their one target performance without affecting AoE environments.
  • demon hunter
    • vengeance
      • [Avec le redémarrage] All damage and healing abilities are increased by 3%.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Fracture and Slash damage increased by 20%.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Automatic attack damage increased by 10%.
        • Developers’ note: Vengeance Demon Hunters and Guardian Druids are late in terms of damage, especially if a target. Our goal with these changes is to improve their one target performance without affecting AoE environments.
  • Warlock
    • affliction
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Damage to all abilities increased by 5%.
        • Note to the developers: We saw Pain a little behind the various content and felt the need to increase damage.
    • DESTRUCTION
      • [Avec le redémarrage] 4P Bonus: Blasphemy no longer gives Rain of Chaos.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Chaos Bolt damage increases by 5% in PvE.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Incinerate damage increased by 20%.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Immolate damage increased by 20%.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Conflagration damage increased by 10% in PvE.
        • Developers note: To address the issues of excessive Soul Shards generated from Destruction, we removed Blasphemy’s ability to provide Rain of Chaos. This will prevent shard generation from losing control and suppression of AoEs. However, it does have some effects on a Destruction target damage, and to help combat the effect, we increased the damage of many of the one target spell. This is a big change and we will keep a close eye on the feedback and will further adjust if necessary.

Dungeons and Raids

  • Tomb of the Founders
    • Halondrus
      • Fixed an issue where players could not get Earthshatter Charges after the effects of Healing Cocoon (Dreamweaver Soulbind).
  • Necrotic Awakening
    • Fixed an issue where the Rain of Fire Destruction Warlock didn’t trigger Rain of Chaos or Blasphemy when fighting in the Necropolis.

Player vs. Player

  • Note to the developers: We tracked the PvP balance in Season 3 and made the following changes. We will continue to follow how it progresses the rest of the PvP season.
  • Druid
    • balance
      • 2P Bonus: Fixed an issue where the Celestial Pillar broke the camouflage.
  • hunter
    • [Avec le redémarrage] Coward’s Stratagem (Legendary Power) now reduces Feign Death’s cooldown to 5 seconds in PvP (15 seconds).
      • Developers ’note: The brief cooldown of Feign Death via Coward’s Stratagem can be frustrating to combat, especially in classes whose primary damage comes from weather effects damage. We updated Coward’s Stratagem cooldown reduction to address this.
  • shaman
    • [Avec le redémarrage] Current of Time (Medium) effectiveness is reduced by 50% in PvP.
    • [Avec le redémarrage] Netherwind Armor (PvP Talent) now reduces the critical hit chance by 10% (down from 15%).
      • Developers note: Mages survivability continues to be higher than we would like, so we targeted some of his defense tools to address this while remaining independent of Mage gameplay.
  • monk
    • Mistweaver
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Renewing Mist now fixes for an additional 25% in PvP (up from 10%).
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Enveloping Mist now fixes for an additional 10% in PvP.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Chrysalis (PvP Talent) now reduces the Cocoon of Life cooldown to 45 seconds (30 seconds).
        • Developers ’note: Mistweaver continues to have difficulty responding to damage explosions reliably. Adding healing over time effects and having Cocoon available more frequently aims to give them better tools to respond to damage explosions more reliably.
  • Paladin
    • vengeance
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Templar’s Vindication (Medium) now causes Templar’s Judgment to deal 15% more damage (up from 30%) in PvP.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Avenger’s Shield damage is reduced by 40% in PvP. The amount of absorption did not change.
        • Developers note: The damage to Retribution Paladins is higher than we would like, beyond survivability and counters. We seek to fix some of the most vulnerable instances without affecting their overall tools.
  • priest
    • sacred
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Mana change decreases by 65% in PvP (60%).
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Holy Word: Chastise can now shock enemy players in 3 seconds (4 seconds).
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Blame (Talent) now causes Holy Word: Chastise to shock enemy players for 3 seconds (4 seconds).
      • [Avec le redémarrage] The Glimmer of Hope (PvP Talent) cooldown is now 90 seconds (60 seconds).
        • Developers ’note: Priests are superior to other physicians, and we seek to reduce the power of typically selected talents and mana efficiency to better fit the representation and performance of other specs.
    • shadow
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Shadow Word: Pain damage increased by 15% in PvP.
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Vampiric Touch damage increases by 10% in PvP.
        • Developers note: Shadow Priests don’t receive as many benefits via the Set Bonus as other PvP specs, so we’ve added features to their constant damage to help with their overall performance.
  • thief
    • Outlaw
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Float like a Butterfly (PvP Talent) now reduces the cooldown of Evade and Feint to 0.5 seconds per combo point spent (one second).
        • Developers ’note: The availability of Outlaw’s defense abilities has become a point of disappointment due to the lack of opportunity for enemies to take advantage of defensive cooldown gaps. This change is aimed at fixing that, as Outlaw continues.
  • Warlock
    • [Avec le redémarrage] Dark Pact (Talent) now provides an absorb shield of 300% of life sacrificed in PvP (up from 250%).
    • [Avec le redémarrage] Drain Essence (PvP Talent) now causes the target to do 9% less Warlock damage per stack.
    • [Avec le redémarrage] Drain Essence (PvP Talent) now stacks up to 4 times (down from 5).
    • [Avec le redémarrage] Gate Mastery (PvP Talent) now reduces the time between how often players get your Demon Gate to 30 seconds (down from 15 seconds).
    • affliction
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Soul Suck now provides an absorb shield for 12% of the damage dealt by PvP (8%).
        • Developers’ note: In 9.2.5, we removed the Demon Armor PvP talent and modified Gladiator’s Resounding Resolve to no longer interrupt effects, which affected Affliction Warlocks, their cast spells from a school. With the combination of these changes, Affliction Warlocks defenses are lower than we would like, even after the stamina increase, so we equipped them with better PvP survival tools.
  • WARRIORS
    • [Avec le redémarrage] The amount of mastery granted by the Conqueror’s Banner (Necrolord Ability) is reduced by 33% in PvP.
    • anger
      • [Avec le redémarrage] Crushing Blow (Raging Blow by Reckless Spirit (Talent)) now deals 20% less damage in PvP.
        • Developers ’note: Anger damage is higher than we’d like in Season 3, especially with their set bonuses. We wanted to minimize some of the times that fluctuated while maintaining consistently high damage in line with the Fury Warrior idea.
