Zelda Breath of the Wild: exploring the sea floor is possible! Find out how

news tips Zelda Breath of the Wild: exploring the sea floor is possible! Find out how

In Breath of the Wild, almost the entire map can be explored on foot. The key word is “walk”, because Link is far from being an experienced swimmer – or diver -. As a result, many players are lost in the strange underwater areas of Hyrule. Here’s how to find them!

An adventurer with his flaws

While we wait (more or less) patiently for the release of the second opus, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild continues to amaze fans, even 5 years after its launch. Even the most diligent players have obviously not yet made the rounds in Hyrule, as many new exploits, glitches, and even in new places discovered relatively regularly. We just told you about an area beyond the map boundary that, unlike other areas outside of Hyrule, fully explored on foot and even on horseback, all that does not fall into the void. But this set has no envy of Link’s space travel who, even if he has all the qualities to be an astronaut, now poor swimmer.

In fact, 36 years after his earliest adventures in The Legend of Zelda and despite numerous trips to the center of the Zoras domain, Link still doesn’t have the skills of an Olympic swimmer. Sure he can swim in lava with a little help, but even in an open world like Breath of the Wild, the sea floor remains a mystery in this Hylian. Fortunately, most of his fans seem to have stepped up to offer his swimming lessons, and you can benefit from it to explore the submerged areas of Hyrule:

Thanks to some manipulations, it is now possible to explore many of Hyrule’s waters not only to appreciate the scenery, but above all to explore these places that have never been seen before without worrying about Link’s strength.

The link has bad memories of swimming lessons.

To do this, you must first familiarize yourself one particular event that allowed Link to jump into eternity: the Moon Jump. To activate this glitch, go to Against Pana in the pastures of Pharaoh. On horseback, talk to Zininn and agree to train.

When the game starts, turn around and up the hill overlooking the wild horses. Put yourself near the edge of the cliff, and if not just about ten seconds to the counterjump off your mountain and jump on wild horses. Make sure you land on a horse before the timer runs out, and the glitch should work.. To find out if it is good, check the horse after the allotted time: if it moves backwards, Moon Jump is active. If not, you will need to start the maneuver again. Note that to disable this effect you can either ride the horse normally or close your game. You can see a visual of this glitch in the video Aifé below:

Once Moon Jump is activated, teleport near the waterhole you want to explore. At the site, empty your stamina gauge – which won’t fill up as long as Moon Jump is active – previously jump high enough above the body of water. Drop, and use the Cryonis module when you touch the surface of the water. The ice block will push you underwater, and the camera will follow. When done, activate the technique Revali is angry to descend into the abyss. You need to check the surroundings, as you can see in the video Game updated :

And have you ever tried Moon Jump? Have you explored the depths of the lakes of Hyrule? Tell us all in the comments!
