MUSIC – The residents of Bois de Vincennes are not at the end of their troubles.
The Paris festival We Love Green, which opened there on Thursday June 2, and is due to take place there until Sunday June 5 (except Friday June 3), apparently prevented many people from falling asleep from its first night, which is scheduled to end. at 12:30 p.m.
Many residents of the neighboring town of Alfortville, but also of Ivry-sur-Seine or east of the capital are complaining on social networks (see the tweets below) the particularly high volume sound system of the festival, located in a place called Plaine de la Belle Étoile, in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes in the 12th arrondissement of Paris.
“The sound is so loud, I can’t even imagine people and kids standing next door and just being restrained from sleeping”, pointed out one Twitter surfer, while one joked: “You can climb on voice please., we have little to hear in Alfortville ”.
After a three-year absence due to the health crisis, the We Love Green festival, has always been more environmentally responsible and expects nearly 100,000 spectators on its three nights, is returning this year.
Gorillaz is the famous headliner this opening night, while Phoenix is expected on Saturday, ahead of a Sunday day where PNL and Angèle are scheduled.
Ever since we heard it all @WeLoveGreen in Alfortville, I think the audience has severe deafness problems.

I confirmed, impossible to sleep at Porte de Charenton, windows closed.@Anne_Hidalgo@WeLoveGreen are you sure your business is green / sustainable? I fear that a real festival to take care of others and animals is … an acoustic festival. https://t.co/p0RHYfGIrv

Especially the seum of living nearby … The noise is so loud, I can’t imagine people and kids just being in the neighborhood and just being restrained from sleeping.

Damn, but I have two metro stations from Bois de Vincennes and have our favorite green festival in my apartment

Looking at how I heard Gorillaz on We Love Green from my apartment, I thought I shouldn’t go there for SCH and Dinos on Saturday.

@WeLoveGreen We have to think about lowering the volume, we can hear you as far as Maisons-Alfort, unbearable! There are some who are working tomorrow and want to sleep well and have no impression of having a live concert in our room (yes, this point is STRONG !!)

I live in Ivry-Sur-Seine, I am in a very well insulated apartment with double glazing, my bedroom is facing the opposite side, and Shazaam MANAGES TO IDENTIFY THE PIECES THAT @gorillaz PLAY ON @WeLoveGreen. How can the audience not be shocked by the sound?

I can’t imagine what it was like in Vincennes / Saint Maur, because you can hear it from the 11th (Faidherbe)! ⁇

But who cares about music on Thursdays at 11:30 pm ?? The windows are closed, in my apartment, I don’t understand where it came from. Found! This is the We Love Green fiesta in Vincennes .. I live in Alfortville +5km from the festival 😅 Sending a bass cow!#welovegreenpic.twitter.com/bsz4I3bR2a

Our kids can’t sleep with these waves of muffled noises coming from @WeLoveGreen

@WeLoveGreen You can raise your voice please, not enough we hear in Alfortville
– Will (@Seraoffdacoffin) June 2, 2022
It’s still the same cancer @WeLoveGreen. The sound can be heard in a good large radius, as it is in a neighbor. And Paris has always passed it on.

GOOD @WeLoveGreenon behalf of all the people who didn’t attend your concert, go and cook your ass with your voice heard throughout the island of France.
