Centered on “culture, heritage, education, experiences and interaction”, this first virtual forum dedicated to Metaverse, will bring a real educational dimension, promote sharing, sharing, informing and raising awareness of challenges and opportunities for on our continent.

Africa is full of creative talent, a pool of digital skills, needs to use this dynamic technology to play a key role in developing and building a Metaverse in Africa.

This is why 3D Netinfo and its partners will launch the first African Metaverse Academy, to train more than 300 young people and women for free in Metaverse professions (Blockchain, Crypto, IA, NFT , VR, AR, 3D, Gaming, Design …) in more than 15 African countries from July 2022.

“Let’s Build the African Metaverse Community” is a project sponsored by Netinfo, an African school of digital creative coding supported by Epic Games as part of Epic MegaGrants, Autodesk, Nvidia, Binance, and the Tezos Foundation.
This project will be implemented in partnership with companies, schools, universities and organizations from more than 16 countries (South Africa, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Niger , DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Tunisia and many more) who want to develop and support the skills of young people and women through training in 3D, video games, animation, virtual reality, augmented reality, architectural design, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, NFTs, etc. and thus offer them new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities on the continent.

This project will be conducted 80% online and 20% face-to-face. Distribute it for 8 months from July 2022.

This project will target young developers between the ages of 18 and 30. We will select 300 young people to join the project with a quota of 20 young people in each partner country. A quota is set aside for other young people from countries not represented and selected for their enthusiasm. Everyone will benefit from training sessions and support for creating prototypes or immersive applications related to Africa’s cultural heritage.
