Microsoft Conference, 5 games we’ve been waiting for!

Game News Microsoft Conference, 5 games we’ve been waiting for!

Xbox and Bethesda have announced that they want to hold their conference this year on June 12, 2022. This date is apparently remembered during E3, which won’t happen this year, but next. But that doesn’t mean we don’t eat at this time. And who knows, maybe this conference will encourage other studios, like Ubisoft, Sony or Electronic Arts to speak these waters. In the meantime, let’s focus on the upcoming Xbox and Bethesda nuggets. Here are the 5 titles we are most looking forward to for June 12, 2022!

  • Forza
  • Starfield
  • The Saga of Senua: Hellblade 2
  • red fall
  • Other projects

The following text is a transcript of the video above

We started with heavy artillery: Forza Motorsport 8, which could be called Forza Motorsport. In fact, it’s a reboot of the franchise, more organic, more technical, more realistic, but above all next gen. When it was announced, along with a unique in-engine trailer, the game promised the future of arcade simulation for the new generation. Except that since the announcement, during the summer of 2020, we haven’t had much to eat. There has been a lot of talk about perfecting the physics, tweaking for the simulation aspect and improving the online mode, but so far we don’t have a release date or actual game. Some photos stolen from a pre-alpha version of the game show pit stops, and that will run on Xbox One. So, is Forza Motorsport 8 not very new generation? When is the release date and on what platforms? Answering these questions is one of Microsoft’s many tasks for this 2022 conference.

We move on to Bethesda, newly recruited by Microsoft. Starfield is the new franchise from Bethesda and presents itself as a space RPG juggernaut. We are able to explore and discover many things, at the moment still somewhat mysterious. Inevitably, with Bethesda, the mockery is made up of dribs and drabs, and the last element to be seen is the obvious game, which should arrive at this famous conference on June 12. The game is set for 11/11 /22, a key date for Bethesda since 11/11/11 marks the launch of the company’s most successful Skyrim. To reach this date is the promise of the Moon, and hopefully the new engine, which we appreciated in the game’s teaser, will make us happy. It has to be said that Bethesda had to redeem itself after a Fallout 4 that didn’t please the players to come out. It is still rated 5.6/10 by Metacritic. And the same with Fallout 76 with a disastrous launch. So Starfield is the perfect opportunity to prove that Bethesda studios still know how to make good games, especially when watching The Elder Scrolls 6.

The Saga of Senua: Hellblade 2

3rd game to come on Xbox, The Saga of Senua: Hellblade II. We saw the gameplay in an intensely scripted sequence at The Game Awards 2021, so it seems reasonable that we’ll see more details this year, just to keep people warm. Hellblade is the adventure of Senua, a young Pict who, in the first installment of the saga, makes a remarkable journey to the borders of hell to be with the soul of his beloved. A completely crazy epic, which has attracted millions of players and prompted the acquisition of the Ninja Theory studio on Xbox. Now working on Unreal Engine 5, the teams promise a real gap between plastic in the first game and the second. They also talk about new features that we will gradually discover, and a balance of the fight that really needs it.

red fall

In Bethesda still, with red fall, a game that shone when it was announced in the summer of 2021, and that has since never left us much information. This is an open world FPS with solo and co-op. Many characters will play and each has their own abilities. The main objective of a team is to kill as many vampires as possible. Over the months, we knew the details of each of the 4 characters. We found a telekineticist, combat engineer, sniper and cryptozoologist! In short, the game was created by Arkane Austin, and is scheduled for the summer of 2022. In recent weeks, rumors of game trials have surfaced, and feedback has reported a Borderlands-like in the coop with steals, bosses, upgrades and many weapons, including the obvious stake thrower. Other than that, it’s a TPS-FPS, where you can choose between first or 3rd person viewing and change according to the situation. So we can’t wait to see more.

Other projects

As you know, the Xbox has become a huge team in recent years and we’d love to hear from it. Everwild, the poetic play of Rare, the sequel to Sea of Thieves for the studio. We can also discuss Perfect Dark, an Xbox studio project The Initiative, was created with Crystal Dynamics, which was recently sold by Square Enix to the Embracer Group. It’s a question here of project commitment, which is in the public float stage. Then obviously we have Obsidian games, The Outer Worlds 2, even if the first opus is not perfect. Let’s also keep in mind that the studio has a specific assures in boxes, a sort of renewed Dark Messiah. It will appeal to the elderly, but for the new ones, it is an action adventure game with the usual first person combat, but also magical combat. We can also mention the Indiana Jones game, which has been made official for a long time. Rumors are circulating about a possible Doom 3, which will follow very well Eternal Destruction. Note that we voluntarily excluded the Activision Blizzard line-up, as the acquisition of the Xbox has not yet been validated by the authorities. It only remains to be seen if there will be some word on the brand’s future, or hints about a future takeover, because we know the Xbox won’t stop there.
