Lines 3 and 4 are ten years old

Tram lines 3 and 4 are celebrating their 10th anniversary, this Wednesday. Inaugurated with cheers on April 6 and 7, 2012, in front of the Tour de la Babote, a remnant of the Medieval fortifications surrounding the historic center as they do today, these two lines are the most recent- or on the network, currently from Juvignac to the Pérols ponds or around the city center, the rays of 3 and the rays of the sun at 4 establish themselves in the Montpellier landscape. Of course, there are lines 1 and 2 as well, while waiting for line 5. The vadrouilleur à vélo d’ici Arthur Lansonneur, that all the press is always talking about is sharing a Happy Birthday on their Facebook page this Wednesday to celebrate this anniversary.

“For ten years, line 3 illuminated from North-West to South, while line 4 illuminated the Grand Cœur in Montpellier. They met in some common sections located between the stations. at the Observatory and Moularès Hôtel de Ville.Designed by Mr. Christian Lacroix, this “haute couture duo” continues to cause a sensation a decade after being put into circulation and now has more than 205 million trips to its credit Since the year 2000 and the commissioning of the first line, which will soon be extended to Montpellier Sud de France station, our transport network has been built around the tramway and is a reference at the national level.Today, we are happy to celebrate 10th anniversary of tram lines 3 and 4, designed by Christian Lacroix and representing water and fire.Among them, since their release, they have recorded over 205 million trips!
Long postponed and eagerly awaited by Metropolis residents, the 5th tram line will be put into service from 2025. Thanks to our ambitious operational policy, we will not only complete the star structure of our network, but we are writing a new page for the future, by establishing free transportation for all residents by the end of 2023 and by proposing a new transportation offer with a high level of service with 5 bustram line. Meanwhile, the 4 lines strongly mark the singularity, the ambition and the artistic imprint of the TaM transport network, thus joining the unprecedented adventure, that of Montpellier’s candidacy for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2028. Delafosse, mayor and president of the Métropole de Montpellier. It rolls for the tram!
